Question 70
AOptions
BSolution
The 'Gulf Cooperation Council' (GCC) is a regional intergovernmental political and economic union consisting of six member states: Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates. Its purpose is to foster economic, social, and political cooperation among its members. Iran, despite being a major country in the Gulf region, is notably not a member of the GCC, and in fact, has often been at odds with some of its member states.
CStrategy
For questions about regional organizations, it is important to know the member states and any prominent non-member countries from the same region that might be included as a distracter option. Geographical context is key here.
